First Mile Work Day, August 2007
On Saturday, August 25, the Friends of the Goffstown Rail Trail held a trail work day to begin the initial clearing for the โFirst Mileโ project. (Information on the first mile project can be found here.) More than forty volunteers came out on a hot summer day with record breaking temperatures. In addition to Friends of the Goffstown Rail Trail, volunteers included incoming freshmen from St. Anselm college on their Brian Maguire Day of Service, and Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 354 who supplied water and homemade snacks to the workers. Thanks to all who helped out!
